Wiiiiiiiiiii

This past weekend I got a chance to play with the hottest toy of the year--the Wii. Thanks Em. And i have the lingering "claw" hand to prove it. Ha ha.

You get to make a mini you, known as the Mii. Unfortunately, we were not really adept enough to make one look exactly like me. I suppose I don't transpose into mix-and-match pre-fabricated digital body parts so well. But that's okay, Mii's are only used in the sports such as tennis and golf.

Most amusing though, was the Rayman Raving Rabbids Game. You embark on various trips and perform different tasks to beat your opponent (or the computer), like shooting little rabbits with plungers, chucking spit balls at the teacher when his back is turned, shaking up colorful potions, goofing off at work while the boss is in the other room, gliding down hills in carts, and swiveling the chair in a photo booth. Note: some of the messages taught in this game are deceptively cute while tip-toeing into the morally questionable... But anyway...

None of us hurled the device into the television either.

For Nintendo itself, it's fessing up that the wrist straps on the wave-me-like-a-madman remote control aren't up to being waved by a madman--or even your typical 13-year-old game player.

Wiiiiiiii fun.

Have you been wondering how to type those cute little hearts in your text while typing?

Yeah. Me neither. But I learned by accident, and now I can use a ♥ any time I want to. I can soften all my words with one little symbol.

I can say for example: "Screw You!♥," "Loser♥" and the popular "I ♥ you, not."

Really. I don't have issues.

But the secret is: Push Alt and then press the 3 on the number pad.

Facebook. I love it.

I love being able to contact friends that I haven't seen for four years. I love being able to remain friends with people that live in different cities, states, and even a few in other countries. I love stealing people's pictures that they post. I love stalking people.

No longer do you have to be the 'last to know' that so-and-so is going out with so-and-so.
No longer do you have that awkward moment with a new friend when you find out that they hate republicans, and well, you are one.
No longer do you think, ohhh, hottie, just to find out later that he has a girlfriend he's been dating for the past 3 years, um yeah.
No longer do you have to wonder, hey did that dude go to my high school, he looks familiar?
No longer do you have to ask yourself what happened to my best friend from a bazillion years ago? Did she get ugly?
No longer do you have to make real friends
No longer do you have to have real life conversations.

But really...Facebook was such a good idea, and I think its popularity speaks for itself.

And thank you to all my lovely friends. Their 'happy birthdays' on my birthday made me feel super special! Thank you!!!
