Gross, Too Cute
I promised myself I would never be the type of blogger person who incessantly broods over anything cuddly, furry, or ridiculously cute (i.e. pets).
Example: People at these disgusting sites i can has cheezburger, Awwpix, Cute Cat, Daily Pets, Random Kitty Generator, and Cute Overload.
I am making an exception now. My sister's dog and two kitties are about the most adorable things ever. It almost makes me sick.
Especially this little guy. He's so lovable, and tired.
I have been reduced to adding a "y" or "ie" to every word I use when I talk to the itty bitty cutesie wootsies.
*Shaking my head* What has happened to me? I've turned into a bowl of mush.
Our pets are famous! I can't wait to tell them.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will be pleased.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute pets... I used to have a golden retriever as well...loved that dog...she was scared of EVERYTHING...even her own shadow as a puppy..until she learned that the shadow couldn't hurt her... I still don't think she ever figured out that it was her shadow...
ReplyDeleteI do have to say though that on your links to websites with animals the one shown as "i can has cheezburger" is the most annoying thing in the entirety of the internet. Most of the time I can't understand what they are trying to say. It's like they are promoting illiteracy through the guise of cute. I'm no genius but I'd like to think that my spelling is better off then that.
What do you think about that type of thing?
Hmmmm. I have mixed feelings about the whole "i can has cheezburger" phenomenon. For one, sometimes it's so ridiculous that it is funny. I like the idea that the captions can grasp an insightful look into the posture or expression of a cat that is surprisingly "possible" were the thing a human. On the other hand, the grammar and spelling, you are right, is horrible, and at the very least annoying. I think it is their attempt to be cute, but that aspect just falls short.
ReplyDeleteFor the most part, I would just have to say that I am surprised by how pervasive, and darn popular the put-funny-labels-on-cat-pictures could possibly be. The Internet is a strange strange trend setter.
